Charlie Tucker

Future Famer 2024

Charlie Tucker finished his junior golf career with a bang. In 2023, the Rock Canyon senior led the Jaguars to their first 5A state championship and claimed medalist honors in the process.

At Collindale Golf Course, the Castle Pines resident shot 6-under par 136 at to earn a six-stroke victory to close out his prep career. He made 15 birdies overall, including nine in the final round, helping him earn first-team all-state honors from CHSAA.

That victory followed his win in the Colorado Golf Association’s State Junior Championship at CommonGround Golf Course. Coming out the stroke play portion as the 18th seed, Tucker won his first three matches to reach the semifinals. There, he defeated 2023 CGHOF Future Famer Kyle Leydon 1-up and then won the title by the same score over Noah Richmond in the final. Tucker captured those last two matches by winning the 18th hole.

Tucker also placed third in two other Colorado junior majors—the Mizuno Colorado Junior PGA (71-71-76—218) and the Colorado PGA Junior Invitational—and by the end of the season, he topped the CGA’s 2023 Boys Junior Point List with 1,075, besting the runner-up by 140 to earn the Colorado Boys Junior Player of the Year.

In March 2024, Tucker proved he could also win on a national level when he triumphed in the AJGA’s K.J. Choi Foundation Texas Junior Championship northeast of Dallas. His 11-under score included a second-round of 63.

Currently a freshman at Colorado State, Tucker follows Future Famers Davis Bryant (2018) and Matthew Wilkinson (2022) as well as 2023 Person of the Year Connor Jones as a member of the Rams golf team.
